Swansea -
Morriston Head and Neck Ultrasound Workshop: an interactive workshop with hands on teaching.

Day One will be interactive teaching on sino-nasal imaging,skull base and petrous imaging,this will be interactive teaching using workstations. Teachers include Tim Beale and Simon Morley.

Days Two and Three will follow the established format for the head and neck ultrasound workshop with hands on teaching,live demonstrations and scanning sessions on both days.

Delegates will be supplied with copies of teaching material and two textbooks :Practical Head and Neck Ultrasound and Imaging in Head and Neck Cancer -a practical guide(both Cambridge University press) as part of their delegate pack.Delegates may opt for attendance on the first day only or the second and third days or all three days.Fees will include transport, meals, refreshments and course dinner.

UK PET CT Reporting Courses – ‘Hands On’

Ideal training for Consultants and SpRs in Radiology, Nuclear Medicine and Oncology/Radiotherapy - both those involved in Primary reporting and reviewing cases at MDMs.
  • Comprehensive PET CT case review training for MDT oncology meetings

  • Hands on reviewing of over 20 validated new cases
  • Choice of one set of subspecialty cases for all participants (Head & Neck, Lung, GI, Haematology) in addition to general oncology cases
  • Access to full data set of a case, not just selected images
  • Supervision by experienced UK ARSAC PET CT reporting certificate holders
  • Maximum of 2 delegates to 1 workstation
  • Wide ranging case mix (normal variants / staging / restaging of malignancies)
  • Cases are suitable for placement in a portfolio for an ARSAC certificate application (RCR 6 category 1 CME points applied for)

5th Course on Monday 16th March 2009. Time: 9.00 to 17.00
6th Course on Thursday 25th June 2009. Time: 9.00 to 17.00
7th Course on Friday 13th November 2009. Time: 9.00 to 17.00
